July 2011, we arrive in Lusaka - Zambia to visit the project that Davide has in Solobon, Kafue and then the trip begins... heading towards the north, after a long journey on a local bus we arrive in Chipata, the capital of the Eastern Province. From there we reach Mfuwe to visit the South Luangwa National Park and afterwards we go towards the Malawian border.

Bright colours around, markets all over, dust, lots of people everywhere: working women, polite kids, friendly men, stylish old men, Christians. Burning waste, huts, bush and baobabs, straight bumpy roads. Happy faces all around!

Capraia

Anticamente chiamata Aegylon, Αηγυλον dai greci e poi Capraria dai romani, deriverebbe il nome dalla presenza di capre selvatiche nell'isola, ma secondo un'altra ipotesi il toponimo deriverebbe da un tema mediterraneo *karpa con il significato di "roccia".

Weekend a sorpresa con mare azzurro cristallino, passeggiate nella macchia mediterranea e giro dell'isola in barca tra gabbiani corsi e colorate scogliere, pesce fresco e tanto caldo! Magnifico!

Ci rivediamo ai primi di novembre con la tradizionale Sagra del Totano di Capraia....slurp!

Google and Facebook in Dublin

Working trip to Dublin, Ireland, for the Grow @ Google and a meeting at Facebook. 

Google continues to win the "Best Companies to Work For" award and I totally agree! The environment in the Dublin office is unique and incredibly international. Google’s focus is on excellence while having fun, so while they work hard, they also make sure it’s a pleasure to go to work everyday!

The visit to Facebook offices was in a very special moment: Mark Zuckenberg was there visiting the offices for the first time! I got many insights about new features coming out, Facebook will conquer the entire world (if not already done )!
