Shopping Experience

Everyone deserves to feel like a princess, sometimes...
After almost four years at Luisa and after ages that I want and need a coat, I made a selection online, went to the store twice and ended up buying two coats! The shopping experience was amazing, the shop assistants and the store manager were incredibly nice and since I wanted to change the bottons of the Vivienne's coat they even went around with me to find them!

Burberry Brit classical Montgomery and Vivienne Westwood Anglicana wool coat.

...ok as soon as winter will arrive I will post some pics of me wearing them!

Los Angeles

LA, the City of Angels...wherever you go a movie has been shot in there! Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills, Melrose Place, Rodeo Drive, Sunset Stripe, Santa Monica Pier, Downtown just to name a few.
I walked, yes I walked till my feet swelled, around Downtown with impressive skyscrapers, up and down passing museums and a bicycle demonstration. Then crossing another block the atmosphere changes immediately, completely. Mexican and Chinese shops, selling any sort of thing, divided by Districts, and the Central Market, feels like visiting another country during your trip, without passing any border.
..and another country again, two blocks away, my beloved Japan in Little Tokyo! I couldn't resist to enter in a real Japanese bakery and buy some small melonpan
(メロンパン大好き!).
and more, much more.

Walt Disney Concert Hall

Astonishing! No words to describe it!

Lillian Disney made an initial gift in 1987 to build a performance venue as a gift to the people of Los Angeles and a tribute to Walt Disney's devotion to the arts and to the city. The Frank Gehry-designed building opened on October, 2003. Architect Gehry's best-known works include also the titanium-covered Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, the very cool dancing house in Prague, the tower at 8 Spruce Street in lower Manhattan and the fish in Barcelona that I don't like much.
Something funny about the Concert Hall were the reflection problems they encountered! After the construction, modifications were made to the Founders Room exterior; while most of the building's exterior was designed with stainless steel given a matte finish, the Founders Room and Children's Amphitheater were designed with highly polished mirror-like panels. The reflective qualities of the surface were amplified by the concave sections of the Founders Room walls. Some residents of the neighboring condominiums suffered glare caused by sunlight that was reflected off these surfaces and concentrated in a manner similar to a parabolic mirror. The resulting heat made some rooms of nearby condominiums unbearably warm, caused the air-conditioning costs of these residents to skyrocket and created hot spots on adjacent sidewalks of as much as 140 °F (60 °C). There was also the increased risk of traffic accidents due to blinding sunlight reflected from the polished surfaces. After complaints from neighboring buildings and residents, the owners asked Gehry Partners to come up with a solution. Their response was a computer analysis of the building's surfaces identifying the offending panels. In 2005 these were dulled by lightly sanding the panels to eliminate unwanted glare.

CJU - the fun part!

As affiliate marketing manager for Luisaviaroma, I have been invited by Commission Junction at CJU to enjoy unforgettable networking in an engaging, campus-like experience along 78 acres of pristine Santa Barbara coastline! Exactly as they say, CJU provides the definitive affiliate networking and education experience. I had the chance to meet and refresh strategies with long term partners, find new business opportunities and develop initiatives for Luisa's business. As a perfectly organized American event (the Bacara resort was incredible), along the working side, we had aperitivos, welcome and goodbye parties, award dinner and many gadgets to bring home!
